REELS TRENDS : KEEPING IT POSI

Lots of mashups to keep you moving forward and feeling positive this week!

Is it just us, or is everyone finally starting to catch onto the fact that video is *not* going anywhere and reels are really dominating? We know changes that feel this significant can be overwhelming and can make people start to feel a bit burnt out - sometimes we hope to help with by sharing these reels ideas every two weeks. In the last week or two, we have been seeing grids start to switch over to 4:5 portrait cover layouts, versus the standard signature squares that we have always known on Instagram. We are also noticing exactly how outnumbered photos are becoming in our newsfeeds, with seemingly 90% videos coming across our screens! It can be a lot to take, but we are always here to help! LOOK! LOOK! LOOK! 👀 👀 👀

State the obvious with this catchy and quick bit of audio. Show off a cool feature, a new product, or a use some text overlay to direct your audience to a link or fact they need to check out
  • using videos: showcase some features
  • using photos: switch images every time the audio says "Look!"
  • using text: use text overlays on top of any video, from a generic background, a product, a computer screen, or a selfie shot... give some value to solve a problem,  leave a CTA to read the caption, or direct them to a link in bio
This one is has loads of options and has high replay potential since it's so short and to the point! If there is one you go for this week, this might be the easiest one to adapt!

Let your creativity soar with this audio as the wind beneath your (metaphorical) wings. This audio features a video trend of knocking on a door, with a relatively simple pan transition to make it look like the answer to your audience's problem is just behind the door (we love this POV example from @marisahopeee).

Try to find an audio clip that the TIME team connects with more. We'll sip on our bottomless double-caff while we wait... 
There aren’t too many small business owners we know that thrive without the magic of caffeine, so while this might take some creativity if you want to apply it to your specific niche, there is nothing with accounts of all kinds going on record with their love for coffee. It's one thing most of us can probably relate to, and that is a key piece of connecting with an audience via your content!

🎶 ABBA X BRITNEY 🎶

Show whatever it is you do with this mashup that takes you from Abba to Britney without missing a beat.  We love this for process videos and before and afters, but this is also super great for those who love to dance on camera - drop the value with the beat or in the caption. There are loads of amazing examples on the audio page for this one 👀

THIS ONE IS TOO CHARMING TO MISS

This audio gets a special mention because it is just way too sweet, and it has been taking off with multiple different pieces of original audio - all from Drew Barrymore's account! While that makes it tricky to know which audio will really take off, it's obviously a winning sound!
You don't need to go dancing in the rain to make the most of this one - you can even just use the part of the audio that says "Do not miss the opportunity!" to talk about a new limited release, a current sale, or an event that is coming up! 
Or just go dance in the rain to bring a bit of joy into your life and feed 😉
